There seems to be some magic about getting a painting on your body. Whenever I do face painting at summer camps, at street fairs, parties, at  picnics,  for children or adults, for old or young, men or women, there's an air of excitement.

People love to get it done. Look at the facial expression of the people in the photos here - they look proud, determined, happy.   I first saw this style of face decoration being done by a Mexican woman at an art show in Los Angeles. She  was using silver body paint, and had a long line of people waiting - all day. Fascinated by the ease and simplicity of her work, I practiced on friends I added colors and glitter (with tiny stars) and developed this style. I prefer not to use stencils or airbrushes. It takes no more than a minute or two to paint these designs.
'Wow! That's AMAZING!" seems to be the theme of spectator comments.

It is safe. I have never had any kind of complaint - except when the paint gets on your clothes
To remove the paint from clothing, don't let it dry.
You have to keep the paint (and the fabric under it) wet,  then wash it off with soapy water.
The colors are bright and stay bright.  It washes off skin very easily with soap and water.
A recent customer told me that to remove the picture, she had rubbed some Vaseline on her arm
and then easily removed the whole design with a paper towel.

These pictures above are all made with a small #6 liner paintbrush,
using specially made face paint, water, and glitter. The paint I use is called
"Paint Yourself Silly". I get it from the Columbia Art store in Portland.
